👉 Definition:

Used for completed actions in the past

অতীতে সম্পন্ন হওয়া কাজের জন্য ব্যবহৃত

👉 Structure:

Subject + verb (past form)

👉 Examples:

I ate rice yesterday
আমি গতকাল ভাত খেয়েছিলাম
She went to school
সে স্কুলে গিয়েছিল
They played cricket
তারা ক্রিকেট খেলেছিল
We studied hard
আমরা কঠোর পড়াশোনা করেছিলাম
He watched a movie
সে একটি সিনেমা দেখেছিল

👉 Important Rules:

  • •Regular verbs: add -ed
  • •Irregular verbs: use special forms
  • •For negative: did not + base verb
  • •For question: Did + subject + base verb?
