Modal Verbs (can, could, should, must)
👉 Definition:
Used to express ability, possibility, permission, obligation
সামর্থ্য, সম্ভাবনা, অনুমতি, দায়িত্ব প্রকাশ করতে ব্যবহৃত
👉 Structure:
Subject + modal verb + base verb
👉 Examples:
I can speak English
আমি ইংরেজি বলতে পারি
She should study hard
তার কঠোর পড়াশোনা করা উচিত
You must follow rules
তোমাকে নিয়ম মানতে হবে
We could go tomorrow
আমরা আগামীকাল যেতে পারি
He may come later
সে পরে আসতে পারে
👉 Important Rules:
- •Modal verbs do not change form
- •No -s for third person singular
- •Followed by base verb without "to"
- •Each modal has specific meaning
